Do I need to enroll as a Music Ed/Music Performance/Theatre major/minor to participate in Audition Day?

No, you do not have to be a music/theatre major or minor to be able to participate in Audition Day. You can declare any other major and minor offered at UPIKE and still receive a music scholarship!

Can I audition for multiple areas of the performing arts?

Yes! You can audition for all three areas (Instrumental, Vocal, and Theatre) or two, if you wish. Please reach out to Hannah Justice (contact listed below) to arrange special audition times.

What if I’m not available on Audition Day? Can I still audition?

Yes! The UPIKE Music faculty will work with you to create a separate time and day for your audition if you are not available. Please reference the contact list below to connect with the appropriate department.

How does the scholarship process work?

Scholarships are based on three things: Your audition, your level of involvement, and financial-aid need. Essentially, the more talent and number of music ensembles and/or theatre participation (acting, tech, etc.) you take on, the more we are able to offer you. Your award will not be offered on the day of your audition, but once that award is finalized, you will be contacted by the faculty member that you auditioned with to be presented your offer.
